mediqly

mediqly takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This page describes which data we process on mediqly.info, for which purposes and which rights the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you. It applies to everyone who visits the website and to people who contact us by email or through the contact form.

Controller and scope of this policy

mediqly, located at 14 Hammet Court, Taunton TA1 1RN, United Kingdom, is responsible for the processing of personal data described here, on every page of mediqly.info and in the correspondence that follows from it. Questions about this notice can be sent to hello@mediqly.info or put to us on 01823 442917.

The content and services of this website are meant for adults. We do not set out to receive information about children, and if a message from a child reaches us by mistake, a short note to hello@mediqly.info is enough for us to delete it.

Data is stored for the period the purpose requires. Once the purpose no longer applies and no legal duty stands in the way, we delete the data or keep it in a form that no longer identifies anyone.

Server logs are held by our hosting provider for a short period and are then removed automatically. Correspondence stays with us while the matter is open and for a reasonable time afterwards, in case you come back to the same question.

Security of processing

We use technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold against loss, manipulation and access by unauthorised people. The connection to this website is encrypted where your browser supports it.

No transfer of data over the internet can be made entirely safe, so a residual risk remains. Inside mediqly, messages are read only by the people who deal with them.

Purposes and legal grounds

The information described here serves a limited set of purposes: running mediqly.info without faults, answering your questions, preparing offers or agreements and meeting the duties that come with running a business.

Where the law requires a legal ground, we rely on your consent, on a contract or the steps preceding it, on an obligation imposed on us, or on our legitimate interest in operating this site safely. Providing data is voluntary, but an enquiry without contact details cannot be answered.

Data processed on this website

When you open a page, our hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address, the requested page, the date and time, the browser type and the referring page. These server logs help us keep the site secure and are deleted after a short period.

Messages sent through the contact form or by email, together with your name, the address we should reply to and any details you add yourself, are kept for as long as it takes to handle the matter you wrote about.

Your rights and how to use them

You can ask us at any time which data we store about you, request its correction or deletion, have the processing restricted, object to it or receive a copy in a common electronic format. Consent that you have given may be withdrawn at any time; the withdrawal applies from then on.

A message to hello@mediqly.info or a letter to our postal address is enough to use any of these rights. To make sure that information reaches the right person, we may ask you to confirm who you are, and we reply within the period the law sets.

Besides contacting us, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.

Service providers and transfers abroad

Personal data is never traded. Access is limited to the technical service providers that run our hosting and mail systems, who process data on our behalf under a written contract, and to public bodies where disclosure is required.

If a provider operates servers or support staff abroad, data may leave the country in which we are established. We work only with providers who commit to the level of protection that the applicable law requires for such transfers.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses only technically necessary storage. We do not set advertising cookies, and no analytics service records how you move through our pages or links your visit to other websites.

You can see which entries this website has stored, delete them and refuse new ones at any time in the settings of your browser. Blocking storage that the pages need may mean that parts of the site no longer work.

Updates

We revise this notice whenever the way we handle data changes. The current wording is always published here, and the date at the top tells you when it was last updated.

We do not announce every amendment separately, so it is worth checking this page from time to time. Where a change concerns processing that rests on your consent, we ask for that consent again before it takes effect.
